This Thursday, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced a new research project that will investigate the cause of autism. Kennedy, a well-known skeptic of vaccinations who has promoted a debunked belief that regular childhood vaccines can lead to developmental disorders, stated that the undertaking will be finished by September and will involve numerous experts in the field. He discussed this initiative with President Donald Trump during a broadcasted cabinet gathering.

In the cabinet meeting, Trump shared his concerns about the connection between vaccinations and autism, despite scientific evidence to the contrary.

He said, “There’s got to be something artificial out there that’s causing this,” and suggested that it could be a certain food or medication. Trump urged Kennedy that if they could find this “something”, they could end the issue.

Kennedy responded by stating that it might be a combination of factors and that further research is needed, and by September, they will be ready with some answers.

What is Autism

Autism is a developmental disorder that is characterized by challenges in communication, social interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors.
