Our Team

Illinois Autism Center: Our Chicago Team

The IAC team is comprised of compassionate and dedicated BCBAs, RBTs, and administrators who support our clients every step of the way. Our clinicians are focused on creating and implementing treatment that will bring long-lasting change.

We provide additional supervision hours and training to our RBTs and BCBAs to ensure high-quality service delivery and safety for all participants. Our administrative staff can help you coordinate sessions that fit your schedule and navigate the complexity of insurance funding.

Meet Our Support Team

  • Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are professionals trained to evaluate clients’ needs, design individualized treatment programs, and oversee the delivery of ABA services.
  • Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) help deliver treatment plan services directly to the individual under the direct and close supervision of a BCBA.
  • Administrative staff will be your first point of contact for scheduling and navigating your relationship with the insurance companies and funding sources. They also work with vendors and suppliers to provide our clients with learning materials and create a safe and positive environment.

Sami Baker, MA BCBA

Sami Baker - Illinois Autism Center

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over twenty years of experience in the field of Behavior Analysis. I have a collaborative approach, incorporating my experience in Physical Therapy while creatively connecting with Speech and Occupational Therapists, teachers, caregivers, and other service providers.

I have had opportunities to support children and families and design and establish programs in a variety of settings, including in-home, center, and preschool. I love creating a learning environment where everyone feels supported and can flourish.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, volunteering with my local youth soccer organization, spending time outdoors, and listening to music.

Vladimir Kogan: My Story

My name is Vladimir, and I’m one of the founders of Illinois Autism Center. I’m also a father of a child diagnosed with ASD. He is my inspiration for starting this business, and the reason we put so much thought and effort to ensure we put your child’s needs first.

Let me start from the beginning. When my family and I first learned that my son may need some support, we were very shocked. We would always find it so cute when he would shake his hands when he was excited or started pouting when we interrupted his routines. When he turned 3 years old, my mother suggested we take him to a specialist to get an evaluation.

This specialist went on to diagnose our son with ASD, and while we were confused and concerned at first, we realized that this does not mean that our son could not live a happy and fulfilling life. We wanted to do whatever we could to help him reach his highest potential, and so our journey began to find him the best supporting services we could. Throughout this experience, we met with therapeutic services that showed us what our son does not need, but also things that help our son thrive and make fantastic progress towards his goals. After 6 years of successful therapeutic services, he has made immense progress, and we are excited to continue to watch him work through all sorts of barriers.

My idea behind creating an ABA center was that I wanted to create a place that would emulate the success that my son found during his therapeutic journey. I wanted to work with individuals who prioritized the person they are working with and focus on the client’s happiness. I also wanted to make sure that other families could benefit from the same success that my son did, reaping all the benefits of high-quality ABA services.

We started with a location in Las Vagas, Nevada and in less than two years, our clinic has gained a strong reputation for high-quality services with families, the local community, and other professionals. We wanted to share that success with the Chicagoland area, and that is why we have created the Illinois Autism Center.

The success of our clinic is based on our comprehensive approach. Together, we can assess each client’s unique needs and develop a treatment plan that considers each. Our mission is to provide exceptional service to children and their loved ones in Chicago, Illinois and beyond.
